Discover Vietnam’s Central Highlands
Ride like a local: mountain passes, coffee farms, ethnic villages, and secret waterfalls — an immersive motorbike story from Dalat to Buon Ma Thuot with an Easy Rider guide.
I didn’t plan it weeks in advance. It started with a simple Google search: “Easy Rider Dalat tour.” After a few reviews, I found Dalat Loop Tour and sent a WhatsApp message. Minutes later, Tim replied: “I can pick you up at your hotel tomorrow morning. We’ll ride slow, take backroads, and see the real Vietnam.” I was in.
Pickup & First Conversation
At 8 a.m., Tim arrived with a spotless motorbike, a clean helmet, and a raincoat. He tied my bag carefully, asked about my pace and coffee stops, and promised plenty of time for photos. It already felt more like traveling with a friend than joining a tour.
Into the Countryside
We left Dalat behind and rode into fresh pine air. Backroads curved through coffee hills and village markets. Over a glass of cà phê sữa đá, Tim shared stories about life in the Highlands — simple, warm, and grounded.
Elephant Waterfall & Linh An Pagoda
The roar of Elephant Waterfall drowned out everything but the moment; mist cooled my face as sunlight caught the spray. Next door, Linh An’s giant Happy Buddha smiled over the valley — calm, timeless, very human.
Sunset by Lak Lake
Red earth roads led us to Lak Lake at sunset. A local family welcomed us with dinner and rice wine. We laughed around a small fire. I didn’t understand every word — but I understood the warmth.
Dray Nur & Dray Sap — The Twin Falls
Morning mist drifted across the lake as we headed for Buon Ma Thuot. The twin waterfalls were wild and majestic. Standing on dark rock, soaked by spray, I felt tiny — in the best possible way.
A Quiet Goodbye
In town, Tim helped me find a guesthouse and made sure I was comfortable. “Maybe we meet again on another road,” he said, then disappeared into the traffic. Two days, one road, and a new friend for life.
“A great trip isn’t about the destination — it’s about who you share the journey with.”
Plan Your Own Ride
If you come to Vietnam, don’t just see it. Ride it. Feel it. Live it.
